In need of some help

They garden is growing, It is looking amazing. With that comes weeds and weeds. I spent last night with the Cravens weeding some of the Garden. She said Thursday they will need help planting a bunch of sweet potato's. I almost think if you have any night that you and your family could go weed for a while it would really help out. Friday they are watering so it will be to wet to weed on Friday and Saturday. I have really enjoyed going and helping in the garden and the great company that is always there. Hope to see you all there.

The Eating Part

Having dinner is always fun, especially when you have others to share with you. Now there's a bunch of cute girls. They look pretty happy. The hot dogs must be good. We know the company is. Brother Adams helped out a lot. Kerry and Sandra are hard at work in the tomatoes. Some helped out putting up the line around the tomatoes to try and hold them up. We have several tomatoes on our tomatoe plants. I can't wait until they're ripe.

Jason Baker is so camera shy. He just was avoiding the camera, but we got him anyway. Now now, Jason. Get over it! Liz thinks you're being silly!

These little dessert cups were really good. Thanks, whoever made them.

Lloyd on his 4 wheeler. He's so kind to let us use his land. You'll be blessed Lloyd. We just need some advice from someone who actually has some real farming experience. That will be our greatest blessing.

Family Home Evening Pulling Party

It always draws a crowd when you say the dinner will be served. We had hamburgers and hot dogs and some delicious salads and desserts. It was a sweet reward after working hard in the garden. Bless Glen Lewis for being such a hard worker and doing the tractor work. Thanks to Brother Goodrich for donating the lights and installing them. We know it will come in handy when it's 120 in a few months. Night pulling will be when we're all there.
The food was delicious. We all had our fill. The burgers went quickly and then the desserts. It was great.
Sara Goodrich was such a good helper getting rid of all the weeds that others were pulling out. She would take her bucket up and down the rows and get rid of the unwanted weeds. Thanks Sara. You were great!

Brother Craven and the boys were hard at work as well. They look pretty interested in their jobs.

5-10-10 Pulling Party and Grub

Monday, May 10th was the weed pulling party for the ward. Of course having a bunch of helpers makes the work go much faster. The garden is doing great. We'll be able to feed a whole lot of "chillins" with this garden! The Baker family was one of the families that came out to work. Brielle looked so cute. Heidi was hard at work.
Bonnie Boren was being so very diligent doing her share of weed pulling.

Nathan and Shelley Tingey and Bonnie Bowler were doing their share of work as well. Shelley even had her daughter in a sling and was weeding with her. Wow! Now that's going the extra mile.

The youth planting their seeds for the future

Wednesday night the Young Women and Men got a chance to plant their watermelons that they have grown from seed.
The youth had a great time together and loved wandering around the Garden.

May Family Home Evening

Last night was a huge sucess as many of the ward family gathered together to "cultivate" the garden.

Let there be light

This weeks big project was the addition of lights to the garden. The lights were donated and installed Monday night during the monthly Family Home Evening.

This will be a huge benefit for gardening when it's cooler or later in the evening.
